Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Developer / Database Engineer with strong background in data engineering, data curation, analytics, and quality validation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in building and maintaining data pipelines, data modeling, ETL development, and data warehouse/data lake implementations. This role requires deep knowledge of Postgres, Redis, C#, Python, and modern data engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines for analytics and reporting

Develop, manage, and maintain data warehouse and data lake environments

Implement ETL processes, data validation, data profiling, and performance tuning

Ensure data governance, data quality standards, and compliance requirements

Perform complex SQL queries, stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning

Provide SME support for data models, metadata, security, and access controls

Troubleshoot data discrepancies, system issues, and pipeline failures

Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, QA, and analytics teams to support business needs

Create and manage documentation for data flows, architecture, and workflows

Required Technical Expertise

  • Proven experience in data warehouse/data lake development

  • Deep knowledge of ETL tooling, data curation, and data pipeline orchestration

  • Practical experience working with RDBMS & Data Warehouses including:

  • Oracle InForm, Oracle DMW, MS SQL Server, MS Access (or equivalent platforms)

  • Expertise in creating and optimizing schemas, queries, partitions, indexing, etc.

  • Preferred Skills

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience with GxP domain knowledge

  • Understanding of clinical data standards and data compliance

  • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is an advantage

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines for data engineering

  • Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Ability to work independently in a remote setup

  • Strong communication and documentation skills

  • High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and quality

  • Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant discipline
